LG stackable dryer that wouldn’t heat in Livermore
The call A Livermore homeowner was running loads through their LG stackable two and three times and still pulling out damp clothes. The drum turned fine. It just wasn’t making heat.
What we found Checked the heating element, thermal fuse, thermostat, and airflow. The element had burned open. We also went through the vent, because a blocked vent is what kills elements in the first place, and made sure it was clear so the new one lasts.
The fix Replaced the heating element, confirmed the thermal fuse and thermostat were good, and cleared the airflow path. Ran several loads to check it heated steadily from start to finish.
How it turned out Back to drying a normal load in one cycle. On a stackable this age the element swap is worth it, since the machine is otherwise sound. No replacement cost. We told them to keep the vent clear so we’re not back out for the same thing.
