Read the fault, then test the circuit
Gaggenau dishwashers use the BSH platform, but a displayed fault still names a system rather than a failed part. A drain complaint can come from the filter, pump, hose, or connection. A fill complaint can begin at the shutoff and inlet path before it reaches a valve or control.
Integrated panels also change the door load. We check hinge movement, spring balance, latch alignment, and cabinet fit before treating a door problem as an electrical fault.
On the first visit, we record the model and serial, reproduce the symptom when it is safe, review stored fault information, and test the system the fault points toward. A drain code still requires a filter, hose, pump, and sink-connection check. A fill complaint begins at the shutoff and supply. A heating complaint requires electrical measurements rather than a conclusion drawn from wet dishes alone.
Diagnosis before a parts order
The on-site diagnostic is $99 per visit, with no extra diagnostic charge for additional appliances checked during that visit. The fee is credited toward an approved repair. After testing, we provide the repair scope and price in writing.
If water is visible at the toe kick or cabinet, stop the cycle and close the supply valve if it is safe to reach. For a door issue, do not force the panel shut; pressure on a misaligned panel can add hinge or cabinet damage.
