On the wall ovens (400 and 200 series) the common call is the control board: a stored fault code, a dark display, or an oven that won’t hold temperature. A drifting temp sensor looks identical from the front and costs far less, so we read the code before condemning a board. The heavy doors wear their hinge cartridges and gaskets, which shows up as slow preheat and a hot oven front. Combi-steam units fail at the steam generator. The Vario cooling columns fail the way the BSH platform does. Ice maker faults are one call. The one people miss is the defrost drain heater: when it quits or the drain clogs, meltwater refreezes and you get a slab of ice under the bottom drawer.
