The short version

A refrigerant leak is the most common reason a commercial box quits cooling, and it’s the one repair most techs can’t legally touch. Handling refrigerant takes EPA certification (we hold #1279674151528), plus the tools to recover the old charge, pin the leak, braze the sealed system, evacuate, and recharge to spec. That’s why a leaking reach-in or walk-in so often gets a shrug and “you need a new one.” Sometimes that’s true. Often it isn’t.

That work is commercial refrigeration, not household appliance repair, so it isn’t this site’s lane. This site fixes the fridges, washers, dryers, dishwashers, and ranges in Bay Area homes.
