The drawer weeps during the wash, the pan fills, and the machine locks out mid-cycle. We dry the pan, test the lid actuators, and replace the seal or actuator pair rather than just resetting the fault, because a reset alone puts water on your floor next week.
ActiveSmart refrigerator defrost failure. An RF170 or RF201 that is freezing fine but running warm up top almost always has a dead defrost element or failed sensor, and the evaporator behind the freezer wall is a solid block of ice. We thaw it, test the element and thermistor, and replace what actually failed. Sealed-system work, if it ever comes to that, carries our two-year warranty.
Gas cooktop igniters clicking nonstop. On CG365 gas cooktops near the water, the spark module and igniter wiring pick up moisture and the burners click even after they light. Sometimes it is just a wet igniter well after a boil-over, but on island homes I often find green corrosion on the module connections. We clean or replace the module and check every burner cap for warping while we are in there.
