Every fridge with a dispenser or ice maker has a water inlet valve. The fittings can leak under the cabinet, or the solenoid fails and the dispenser and ice maker stop getting water.

  • DishDrawer holding water at the end of the cycle. Standing gray water in the tub means the drain pump is blocked or dead. In Richmond's older kitchens the drain line routing is often long and low, which makes partial clogs more common than in newer homes. We clear the pump, flush the line, and verify a full drain under power rather than calling it fixed at the first gurgle.
  • Fridge air damper stuck between compartments. When the freezer is fine but the fridge section swings warm and cold, the electronic damper that meters cold air has usually jammed or its motor failed. On ActiveSmart models we test the damper and the sensor that drives it, because replacing the damper under a bad sensor gives you the same complaint a month later.
  • Corroded connections on waterfront units. In Marina Bay and Point Richmond we regularly find green corrosion on cooktop spark modules, fridge board connectors, and DishDrawer looms. Symptoms are random, which frustrates owners. We clean and protect the connections and replace only the parts that actually test bad, and I will show you the corrosion so you know it was real.
