Amana in these units is usually a stacked laundry pair in a condo utility closet or the standing kitchen appliances in the older lagoon-front houses.

Stacked laundry changes the job more than the diagnosis. The parts that fail, the drain pump, the thermal fuse, the door latch, are the same as any house unit, but I sometimes have to pull the stack partway out of a tight closet to get to the back panel.
