- French-door fridge rear vent and coil corrosion. Salt air off the harbor works into the rear vent grille and condenser coil faster here than inland. Airflow drops, the fridge runs long cycles trying to hold temperature, and the compressor works harder than it should. Clean the coil, check the fan, and I flag it if corrosion has gone past cleaning.
- Induction cooktop power module overheat. Same F47 and E5 fault codes I see elsewhere, but on the coast the cooling fan intake collects a salt film along with the usual dust. Clean the vent path and confirm the fan spins freely before I call the module itself bad.
- Wall oven control board corrosion at the connector. Coastal humidity gets into the wire connectors behind the control board over years, and the pins corrode enough to cause intermittent power loss or a blank display. Cleaning the connection fixes some of these. A corroded board past that point gets replaced.
