Bosch dishwashers are not a repair we take. Not any model, any year.

It is not a knock on the machines. It is the parts pricing. What a circulation pump, a control board, or a touch panel costs on one of these, set against what the dishwasher sold for new, turns the repair into a bad buy for you more often than not. We would rather tell you that here than charge you $99 to say it in your kitchen.

Dishwashers are the one Bosch category we stepped back from, so our Bosch work in Richmond is French-door and built-in refrigerators, induction cooktops, and wall ovens. Richmond's housing tells its history. Wartime cottages and early 1900s homes in the Iron Triangle and Point Richmond, solid mid-century stock in the Richmond Annex and El Sobrante borders, and newer condos along the water at Marina Bay. Bosch appliances show up in all three, remodel installs in the older homes and builder packages in the Marina Bay units.

Two Richmond-specific things I plan for. The older homes often run 60 amp service or knob-and-tube remnants, and a Bosch induction cooktop or wall oven on a marginal circuit produces symptoms that look like appliance failure but are supply problems, so I meter the circuit before condemning a board.
