Linear compressor failure on LG built 795 models. The 795 French door Kenmores from roughly 2014 to 2018 carry LG linear compressors, and they fail in a recognizable way. The unit hums, the lights work, and nothing gets cold. I confirm it with gauges before quoting, because this is sealed system work. We do it in house, EPA certified, and back it for two years.
Garage fridge overheating in summer. Alamo garages hit triple digits in a heat wave, and an older Kenmore top freezer with a dusty condenser cannot reject heat fast enough. The overload relay starts cycling the compressor and food warms up. A deep coil cleaning plus a new start relay and overload kit usually saves the unit for a fraction of replacement cost.
Ice maker and inlet valve failures on kitchen units. On the kitchen side I mostly see 106 side by sides with slow or hollow ice. Half the time it is the dual solenoid water inlet valve losing flow, the other half it is the ice maker module itself. I measure fill volume into the tray before replacing anything so you pay for the actual failed part.
