LG-built French doors with a silent compressor. Kenmore Elite units on LG platforms sometimes go completely silent, no compressor hum, no error code, just a fridge that stopped cooling overnight. That symptom points toward either a failed inverter board or a compressor that lost its start winding, and the two repairs are far apart in cost. I test the compressor windings and the board's output separately before quoting either one.
Water dispenser leaks from a failing inlet valve. A dispenser that drips steadily or an ice maker that fills weak usually traces back to the water inlet valve losing its seal, a part shared across Whirlpool, Frigidaire, and LG built Kenmores alike. The valve is inexpensive and quick to swap, but I check water pressure and the supply line first, since a valve replaced against low household pressure won't actually fix the drip.
