Whirlpool dishwashers we do not take.
Whirlpool dishwashers are not a repair we take. Not any model, any year.
It is not a knock on the machines. It is the parts pricing. What a circulation pump, a control board, or a touch panel costs on one of these, set against what the dishwasher sold for new, turns the repair into a bad buy for you more often than not. We would rather tell you that here than charge you $99 to say it in your kitchen.
Everything else from these brands we still fix: refrigerators, ranges, ovens, cooktops, washers, and dryers. We repair dishwashers from every other brand.

The Dougherty Valley builds in 94582 went up roughly 2005 to 2015 and came stocked with Whirlpool-group French-doors, Cabrio laundry, and WFE and WFG ranges. Those houses are hitting their first big repair window right now, all at about the same age, which is why I see the same handful of failures over and over in that ZIP.
On the fridges it is the evap fan motor first, then the inverter board. On the Cabrio washers it is the gearbox bearing and the lid switch, same platform as the Maytag Bravos. The other San Ramon regular is the WED and WGD dryer: the thermal fuse blows when the duct has not been serviced in three years. If the run is choked, we say so and point you to a vent service; that is not our trade. Without airflow, a new fuse can blow again.

- Cabrio gearbox / lid switch. No spin or no drain. Bearing and lid-switch failures are the classic Cabrio ticket. Same fix as the Bravos.
- WED/WGD dryer thermal fuse plus vent. No heat. I clear the lint-choked duct before installing the fuse so it does not blow again in a week.
- WRF/WRX evap fan motor. Freezer rattle, warm fridge. We usually stock the common repair parts, and we confirm timing after the on-site diagnosis.
- WFG surface igniter. Burner clicks but will not light, or lights slow. Stocked igniter, quick swap.
