- Marina Bay salt-air damage to controls and trim. Condos near the water show corrosion on switch contacts and connector pins earlier than anywhere else we service. Intermittent lights and flaky speed buttons are the tell. Cleaning and protecting the connections often restores full function without a board, and the written quote shows exactly what I found.
- Recirculating hood filters spent and airflow dead. Many Richmond condos cannot duct outside, so the Zephyr runs in recirculating mode through charcoal filters. When those load up, airflow collapses and people assume the motor died. Fresh filters and a blower check usually bring it back. I stock common filter sizes on the truck.
- Presrv cooler cycling oddly in a cool house. Richmond's fog-cooled homes sit at the bottom of a wine cooler's operating range in winter, and a marginal thermistor makes the unit short-cycle or drift. The sensor is an inexpensive part. I confirm it with actual temperature logging rather than swapping and hoping.
