Pacifica sits right on the coast, Linda Mar, Rockaway, Sharp Park, Fairmont, and the salt in the air out here is not a minor detail. Bravos washers and Centennial dryers are common in the garages and laundry rooms, and top-freezer fridges hold the overflow same as most of the Peninsula, but the metal parts on all of it age faster this close to the water.

I see corroded inlet-valve screens on Bravos washers here more than anywhere else I cover, which shows up as a slow fill or a washer that quits mid-cycle on a fill-sensor fault. Dryer heating elements and their connection terminals corrode early too. None of that changes how I diagnose the machine, but it does mean I check connections and screens for corrosion before I write up a part as failed, since a corroded terminal can mimic a dead element.

Water and ice systems

Every fridge with a dispenser or ice maker has a water inlet valve. The fittings can leak under the cabinet, or the solenoid fails and the dispenser and ice maker stop getting water.

Centennial dryer glide, belt, and idler kit. Drum drags and whines. I also check the heating element terminals for corrosion while the dryer is open.
Top-freezer defrost thermostat and evap fan. MRT and MFI fridges run warm. Defrost thermostat or evap fan motor, both stocked, both quick.
