- Front-load washer stops mid-cycle with an E21 drain error. On the EFLS627 series this is almost always the drain pump, either jammed by coins and hair clips or burned out from running against a clog. I open the pump trap first, because half the time the fix is clearing debris rather than replacing the pump. If the impeller is chewed up, the pump swaps in under an hour.
- Electric dryer tumbles but the clothes come out cold. The EFME627 dryers use a heating element with a thermal limiter that opens when airflow gets restricted. In Alamo homes with long duct runs from the laundry room to the exterior wall, lint buildup trips it early. I test the element and both thermostats, replace what failed, and tell you honestly whether the duct needs attention so the new part lasts.
- French door refrigerator quits making ice. Electrolux French door units have a known weak spot in the ice system. The fill tube frosts over or the ice maker assembly itself fails, and you get a slow trickle of cubes or nothing. I check the water inlet valve and fill tube before condemning the ice maker, since the valve is the cheaper fix and fails just as often.
