What breaks. What we fix.
Electrolux sits a step above Frigidaire and shares the same platform, so the upper trim uses the same parts underneath. Most of what we get called for is laundry first, then refrigeration, then the ovens and cooktops. Here’s what actually comes across the truck.
The calls we get on Electrolux
Perfect Steam front-load washers. The door boot tears at the four-o’clock spot from coins, hairpins, and underwire, and the drain pump grinds when something hard slips past the filter. Both are common, both are quick, and we carry the OEM boot in both 27-inch sizes.
The IQ-Touch wall ovens (EW27EW55GS and the like) lose the touch panel. Buttons go intermittent, then dead, though the oven still bakes on a manual preset. Nine times out of ten it’s the touch-panel module, not the main board, and we re-seat the ribbon cable before condemning the part.
French-door refrigerators on the EW28BS series drop the ice maker the same way their Frigidaire siblings do: cracked mold, iced fill tube, seized motor. It’s a whole-assembly swap and we stock the kit.
Induction ranges throw an F11 when the driver overheats, almost always a cooling vent under the cooktop packed with debris from the drawer below. Clean it and it clears.
Then there’s the compact 24-inch laundry in half the Bay Area’s condos, in-law units, and stacked closets. That dryer is a ventless condensing unit, and the number-one reason it runs for hours and leaves clothes damp is a heat exchanger behind the bottom access door that nobody ever rinses out. Clear the condenser, clear the drain, check the moisture bars in the drum.
What each fix runs
Door boot on a front-loader: roughly $250 to $350 with the OEM gasket, and it’s a 45-minute job done right. Drain pump: about the same, less if the impeller just needs clearing. Touch-panel module on an IQ-Touch oven: parts drive it, usually $300 to $500 installed. Ice-maker assembly: around $300 to $450. The compact-dryer condenser cleanout is the cheap one, often just the diagnostic and labor if no part is needed.
Repair or replace
Electrolux is worth fixing more often than not. Parts share with Frigidaire, so nothing sits on backorder for months, and the common failures are wear items, not the machine giving up. Where we’ll tell you to walk: an out-of-warranty compressor on an older French-door, or a main board stacked with a second major part on a ten-year-old unit. Short of that, repair wins.

Electrolux questions, answered.
-
My Perfect Steam washer has a torn door boot. Can you replace it?
Yes. We carry the OEM boot in both 27-inch front-load sizes. Replacement is a 45-minute job done right. -
The buttons on my IQ-Touch wall oven are dead. Is the main board fried?
Probably not. Touch-panel ribbon-cable failure. We re-seat the ribbon before condemning the touch-panel module. Main board is usually fine. -
My Electrolux heat-pump dryer takes forever. What's wrong?
Condenser fins need cleaning. Every twelve months. Skipping that step is why people think heat-pump dryers don't dry well. -
Are Electrolux parts shared with Frigidaire?
Yes. Electrolux residential shares a platform with Frigidaire and the upper trim uses the same parts. We carry the common parts for both.
