- Water on the floor in front of the washer after every load. The door boot gasket on Electrolux front-loaders develops small tears at the bottom fold, especially in basement installs where grit gets trapped in the fold. A torn boot leaks a little at first, then a lot. I inspect the full circumference with the drum rotated, replace the boot, and check the drain path while it's open.
- Oven takes forever to preheat, then bakes unevenly. On Electrolux electric ranges this is the bake element starting to fail. It draws current but doesn't reach full output, or one section glows while the rest stays dark. In older Hillsborough kitchens I also check the outlet and the wiring connection at the terminal block, because a weak connection mimics a weak element.
- Washer sits filling for twenty minutes, then errors out with E11. E11 means fill time exceeded. Either the water inlet valve screens are clogged, the valve solenoid failed, or house water pressure to that fixture is low. In homes with older galvanized branch lines that pressure question is real, so I measure flow at the hose before replacing the valve.
