- Puddle forming at the base of the washer. The door boot gasket on Electrolux front-loaders tears at the bottom fold over time, and in a guest house laundry that only sees weekend use, a small tear can go unnoticed for a while before it's leaking on every cycle. I rotate the drum to check the gasket's full circumference, put in a new boot, and look at the drain path while everything's open.
- Range takes too long to heat, then bakes unevenly. On an Electrolux electric range this points to the bake element losing output, drawing current but not reaching full heat, or glowing unevenly across its length. In a second kitchen that doesn't get daily use, I also check the outlet and the terminal block wiring, since a loose connection can look exactly like a failing element.
- E11 error after a long fill cycle. E11 means the fill time got exceeded. Either the inlet valve screens are clogged, the valve solenoid has failed, or pressure to that fixture is low, which is worth checking on a long private line running from the street to a house set well back off the road. I measure actual flow at the hose before I replace anything.
