Alamo homes along Danville Boulevard and up in Round Hill are mostly ranch houses from the 70s and 80s on big lots, and almost every one has a second refrigerator in the garage. That garage unit is often a Haier, bought for overflow groceries and drinks, and garage duty is hard duty. Garage heat killing condenser fans. Alamo garages hit triple digits in July, and a marginal condenser fan motor gives up right then. The fridge cycles on a hot compressor and food temps drift. I replace the motor, clean the coil, and check clearances so the unit can shed heat properly.
Inverter compressor drive faults on quad-door models. The HRQ16N3BGS quad-door uses an inverter compressor with a drive board. When the board fails you get a dead-silent unit or repeated start attempts. I test the drive output before condemning the compressor, because in my experience the board is the culprit more often than the pump.
