- Quad-door ice maker auger jams. Busy households near the restaurant district run their ice makers hard, and the HRQ16N3BGS auger motor is a common failure point after years of that use. Ice builds into a solid mass around the auger, the motor stalls, and no ice comes out even though the bin looks full. I clear the jam, test the auger motor under load, and replace it if it has already burned out trying to push through the ice.
- Temperature sensor drift. When the crisper drawer freezes lettuce while the door shelves stay warm, I look at the thermistor before anything else. A sensor reading a few degrees off feeds the control board bad information, and the fridge overcorrects in one section while undershooting another. Replacing the sensor restores an even temperature across the cabinet.
- Water filter housing cracks. A Haier with a built-in water filter that leaks slowly from inside the fridge compartment usually has a cracked filter housing, not a bad gasket. Heavy water usage in a busy household speeds this up. I replace the housing and confirm the seal holds under full line pressure before I close the job out.
