  • Thermistor drift causing frozen produce. When a Haier freezes lettuce in the crisper or swings between too warm and too cold, the temperature sensor has usually drifted out of spec. I measure its resistance against the chart, replace the thermistor, and verify the control responds correctly.
  • Water inlet valve problems on ice-making models. Haier models with ice makers use a solenoid inlet valve that either clogs on Peninsula water minerals or weeps and leaves water under the unit. Slow fill means small hollow cubes. A new valve and a fill-rate check solves both symptoms.
