- Top-burner ignition fault. Click with no spark, or nonstop clicking after the burner lights. We check the spark electrode, reignition module, transformer, and burner switch, in that order.
- Burner will not simmer or burns yellow. Jets clogged, a burner sitting off its locating pins, or the wrong orifice size on a home converted to propane. We clean, reseat, or reorifice.
- Grill or griddle burner no light. GL or GD module slow to catch or dead. Fog and moisture reach these outdoor units fast in Daly City, so we check the igniter and the thermal valve for corrosion before we swap parts.
- Oven bake glow-bar igniter. Igniter glows orange but the oven never gets hot. Current draw too low to pull the safety valve open. Glow-bar swap fixes most of these.
