- Top-burner ignition fault. Click with no spark, or the igniter keeps firing after the burner lights. Spark electrode, reignition module, transformer, or burner switch, in that order.
- Burner will not simmer or burns yellow. Low simmer will not hold, or the flame burns yellow. Clogged jets, a burner sitting off its locating pins, or an orifice sized for the wrong fuel after a conversion.
- Grill or griddle burner no light. GL or GD module slow to catch. Weak igniter most of the time, occasionally a thermal valve stuck shut.
- Oven bake glow-bar igniter. Glow-bar lights up but the oven stays cold. Current draw too weak to open the gas safety valve. Glow-bar swap, dual thermal valve checked if the swap does not fix it.
