What we close on the truck.

Burner will not simmer or burns yellow. The most common call we get here. Residue restricts the jets, or the burner cap has slipped off its locating pins after years of daily use. Both clean up with a proper reseat.
Top-burner ignition fault. A burner that clicks but will not catch, or gives no click at all. I check the spark electrode and the reignition module before I look at the burner switch.
Oven bake glow-bar igniter. The oven stays cold even with the glow-bar visibly glowing. It is not pulling enough current to open the gas valve, so the fix is a straight igniter swap.
Grill or griddle module igniter. Fewer East Palo Alto homes run an outdoor DCS grill than the cities around it, but on the ones that do, a weak igniter on the GL or GD module is the usual complaint. I test it and swap it if it has failed.
