- Oven bake glow-bar igniter. The glow-bar glows but cannot pull enough current to open the safety valve, so the oven never lights. Igniter swap, and I check the dual thermal valve while the panel is off.
- Burner will not simmer or burns yellow. Restricted jets or a burner cap that has come off its locating pins. I clean the jets and reseat the cap, or reorifice if the range was converted to propane at some point.
- Grill or griddle module igniter. On the homes with a built-in GL grill or GD griddle module, weak ignition traces back to the igniter itself or a stuck thermal valve behind it. I test both and swap whichever failed.
