- Burner clicks and will not light. The igniter switch for that burner or the spark module behind the panel has gone bad. In a smaller galley kitchen I still test each burner circuit on its own before replacing anything.
- Oven lights, then the flame cuts out. Same story every time: the oven lights, then the flame-failure device or thermocouple lets go of the valve within seconds. Replacing that one part clears it, and I rarely find the valve itself at fault.
- Oven mode selector does not match what is happening inside. This rotary switch is a known wear point on ILVE ovens. In a condo kitchen with heavy daily use, I see this fail sooner than in a house that only cooks a few nights a week.
- Door does not seal, or feels loose on the hinge. The hinge springs stretch over time under the door's weight. I check hinge, gasket, and element together, since HOA-managed buildings sometimes have ventilation limits that make a hot oven feel like a door problem when it is not.
