- Weak flames when multiple burners run. In the older downtown homes, low manifold pressure from aging or undersized gas lines starves the range when three or four burners fire together. We measure pressure under load, and if the range checks out we document the supply issue so a plumber can fix the actual cause.
- Rotisserie motor dead on Nostalgie ovens. The Nostalgie line includes a rotisserie, and the little drive motor is often the first thing to quit because it sits in oven heat for years. Owners rarely notice until a holiday. We test the motor and its switch, and replacement brings the spit back without touching anything else.
- Thermostat bulb knocked out of position. The capillary bulb in the oven cavity gets bent or dislodged during aggressive cleaning, and then the thermostat reads the wrong spot and the oven swings wildly. Half the temperature complaints I see started with a deep clean. Repositioning and re-clipping the bulb often fixes it without parts.
