- Oven fails to light after preheat drops. On ILVE gas ovens the burner relights during cooking as the thermostat cycles, and a weakening oven thermocouple lets it light at first but drop out mid-bake. Dinner comes out half raw. We test the millivolt output under flame and replace the safety valve components as a set when readings are marginal.
- Convection fan grinding or stopped. The convection motor bearing dries out and the fan first whines, then seizes. On a dual fuel Majestic that means uneven browning front to back. Replacement is straightforward once the back panel is off, and we check the fan blade for cracks while we are in there.
- Griddle plate burner not lighting. The 48 inch models with the center griddle have a dedicated burner underneath that collects grease drips. The electrode fouls and the griddle stays cold while the rest of the top works. We clean or replace the electrode and degrease the burner tube so it stays lit.
