What we close on the truck.

Burner clicks with no flame. Usually the igniter switch for that burner or the spark module it runs through. I check each burner circuit on its own before deciding which part actually failed.
Oven flame goes out shortly after lighting. A few seconds after the burner catches, the flame drops, which means the thermocouple or flame-failure device has stopped holding the valve open. I confirm that with a meter reading before ordering the part.
Selector switch skips settings or lands in between. This rotary switch wears out with normal use over the years. It is one of the more common ILVE parts we replace, and it ships from Italy, so I confirm the fault before we order.
Door does not close level, or heat comes through at the seal. Hinge springs stretch on these heavier cast doors. I check hinge, gasket, and bake element as a set, since any of the three can cause the same complaint at the door.
