Los Altos Hills is ranch homes from the 60s and 70s spread along hillside roads, plus the newer houses that replaced some of them. - Newer GE fridge stopped cooling entirely. GE's inverter-compressor refrigerators from the last decade sometimes lose cooling in both compartments at once. That points at the compressor, its inverter driver board, or a sealed-system leak. This is EPA 608 territory and we're Universal certified (EPA #1279674151528), so we can open the sealed system legally and properly. Sealed-system repairs carry our two-year warranty, the longest we offer, because I stand behind that work.
- GTD dryer heats, then quits mid-load. On GTD models a dryer that starts hot and finishes cold usually has a failing heating element coil or a thermal cutoff tripping from restricted airflow. In Los Altos Hills the vent runs are long and full of bends, so I check backpressure at the vent as part of the repair. Replacing the element without addressing a choked vent just schedules the next failure.
- PDT dishwasher panel dead or unresponsive. Dead control panels on GE PDT dishwashers out here often trace back to power events, a surge or a brownout that cooked the main board or the keypad ribbon. I test incoming power, the board, and the interface separately, because the parts prices differ a lot and I'm not going to quote you a board if the fix is the cheaper keypad.
