Newark is a compact grid of sixties and seventies ranch homes with a newer layer of development out toward the Bayshores side, and it sits right on our Fremont route. Z-Line ranges show up here in both flavors: remodels in the older tracts and builder packages in the newer homes near the Dumbarton commute. We service them as a Z-Line authorized servicer.
Because Newark is small and dense, we can usually fold a call into an existing Tri-City run rather than making you wait for a dedicated trip. Standard terms apply: $75 diagnostic credited to the repair, written quote before any part is ordered, 7 days a week.

What we close on the truck.
- Burner knob stiff or won't turn. Gas valves on well-used cooktops get stiff as the lubricant in the valve body dries out, and forcing them eventually damages the valve. I replace the affected valve rather than trying to relube it, since a gas valve is one part where you don't compromise.
- Convection bake runs cold on a dual fuel. RA series dual fuel ovens use a separate ring element behind the convection fan. Regular bake works, convection bake disappoints, and the failed ring element is why. Testing takes minutes with the back panel off, and the part is a standard replacement.
- Hood lights strobing. Flickering LEDs on a Z-Line hood almost always mean the driver is failing, and the flicker gets worse as the hood warms up. Swapping the driver ends it. If a lamp module itself has failed I'll spot it on the same visit, since I test both ends of that circuit.

What's the drive time from San Ramon to Newark?
Around 35 minutes, either down 680 and through Niles Canyon on 84, or over to 880 through Fremont. Newark calls ride along with Fremont and Union City stops, so getting a truck to you inside a day or two is normal. -
My range is from the previous owner and I have no paperwork. Can you still service it?
Of course. The serial plate tells me the model, age, and parts list, and that's all I need. Paperwork only matters for factory warranty claims, and most Newark calls are past that window anyway. -
