- Hood insert moving less air every month. In kitchens that cook daily, the insert's blower wheel cakes up with grease until airflow drops noticeably and smoke starts drifting past the hood. Degreasing the wheel and housing restores most of it. If the wheel has gone out of round from the buildup, I replace it.
- Burners misbehaving after a countertop or cooktop reinstall. Remodels sometimes put the range or rangetop back with electrode gaps knocked out of position or a loose burner harness. Symptoms look random: slow lighting, sparking that continues after ignition, one cold burner. I go through every burner and reset the installation to spec.
