My LG washer smells even though I run the cleaning cycle. Is that normal?

Daly City filled in fast after the war, block after block of Henry Doelger's tract homes across Westlake and the Serramonte flats, small kitchens with the washer and dryer tucked into a closet off the garage. A lot of those closets picked up a stacked LG unit somewhere along the way, and the newer condo towers going up near the BART line came with LG appliance packages straight from the builder. We also take calls just over the ridge in Brisbane, so being up past the freeway doesn't put you out of range.

The fog sits over this city most afternoons and doesn't really lift from May through August, and that kind of steady moisture works on a front-load washer. The door boot folds hold water after every load, and if nobody wipes them down, the rubber grows mildew and starts throwing a UE fault even on a perfectly balanced wash. Every fridge with a dispenser or ice maker has a water inlet valve. The fittings can leak under the cabinet, or the solenoid fails and the dispenser and ice maker stop getting water.
