What a circulation pump, a control board, or a touch panel costs on one of these, set against what the dishwasher sold for new, turns the repair into a bad buy for you more often than not. We would rather tell you that here than charge you $99 to say it in your kitchen.

The neighborhoods run from the Hillsdale and Baywood tracts to the Beresford and North Shoreview blocks closer to the bay, with the restaurant strips along 25th Avenue and B Street marking the commercial core in between. Residential kitchens through here mix LG French-door fridges and dual-inverter laundry in with GE Profile and Samsung, mostly from remodels done in the last ten to fifteen years.

- Linear-compressor no-cool on older French-doors. The compressor keeps spinning but the fresh-food section creeps up past 50 degrees. We pull the serial number and check it against LG's compressor program before we open anything.
- Evap-fan motor and icemaker on Hillsdale-era remodels. Later LG fridges losing cooling or ice production. We usually stock the common repair parts, and we confirm timing after the on-site diagnosis.
- Dryer moisture-sensor drift. The sensor stops reading the load correctly and the cycle ends before the clothes are actually dry. Sensor replacement, tested on a full load.

Listen for the compressor. If it's running but the box is warm, that's almost always the linear-compressor failure. Don't unplug it trying to reset anything, just note the model and serial number off the sticker inside the fridge wall, we'll need both when we check it against LG's compressor program.
