LG is one of the most common brands we touch in Fremont. We see plenty of LG French-door fridges and dual-inverter front-load laundry across Centerville, Niles, Irvington, and Warm Springs, in the 94536, 94538, 94539, and 94555 ZIPs. A lot of the fridges date to the linear-compressor years between 2014 and 2019, and that vintage is the one that stops cooling with the compressor running but not pumping. We check the serial against LG's extended program before we open a panel, because the compressor is often covered even when labor is not.
The newer LG fridges that replaced those, the LRMVS line and the LSXC22326S, fail differently. Those drop the evap-fan motor or the icemaker assembly, both quick fixes. On the laundry side the dual-inverter washers throw an LE motor fault when the rotor-position sensor drifts, and a UE unbalance code that is usually a worn suspension rod, not the load. Mission San Jose runs a luxury layer of Sub-Zero and Wolf, but the LG calls cluster in the rest of the city.
